LoginAnne’s in-laws live in a part of India known for its lush, tropical climate (with humidity to match). Unassuming and thirsty, Kerala towels are generally plain weave in white cotton with a few stripes or decorations to distinguish them. Waffle-weave versions spotted on a recent trip gave Anne the idea to weave a set of towels: one in traditional plain weave with clasped-weft accents, and the other with simple waffle-weave pick-up.
About Anne Merrow: Anne Merrow started weaving to reduce her yarn stash and ended up falling in love with the rigid-heddle loom. She loves to weave towels, because even the samples are useful! She lives in Colorado with two cats who insist on helping her warp.
